Emilio Battioli is a lawyer specialized in public, regulatory and corporate law with a career of more than 35 years. He graduated in Law from the University of Buenos Aires with a Diploma of Honor and completed postgraduate studies in prestigious institutions such as the University of Strasbourg, the Kyoto Comparative Law Center and the University of Warwick.
He has developed an extensive career in the legal sector, advising national and international companies on privatizations, energy, infrastructure, mergers and acquisitions, and regulation. He has been a partner at Zang, Bergel & Viñes Abogados, leading the area of Public and Regulatory Law, and a consultant at Paolantonio & Legón Abogados.
His experience includes strategic positions as Manager of Legal Affairs at Azurix Buenos Aires S.A., where he managed regulatory and contractual issues in the water and sanitation sector, as well as legal advisor at the National Institute of Industrial Technology and at the Ministry of Industry of the Nation.
Currently, he is General Management Advisor at CAMMESA, a key company in the Argentine electricity wholesale market.
It has several distinctions, including scholarships from the British Council (Chevening) and the Ministry of Culture and Education of Japan (Monbushò). He has published articles on corporate law, intellectual property and regulation in specialized journals.
